One of my favorite lessons to teach is called "Creation Station." This lesson typically occurs towards the end of a unit when students have had ample guided practice with the teacher and peers. It is a way for them to showcase their understanding of a topic through creativity. The students develop problems or lessons for their peers on topics they are comfortable teaching. They need to solve their work, which encourages self-reflection and personalized differentiation. During this lesson, I circle the room talking with children on their topics and guide their work if there are any misconceptions. Their end products produce higher-level thinking and help me evaluate their understanding of a topic.

English Language Arts
This is a great lesson for students to analyze characters in narrative nonfiction texts.
In this lesson, students find text evidence to support why a trait for Wilma Rudolph is determined.
The slides represent a ten minute segment of the lesson when students are analyzing text evidence and connecting character traits to people the know or have learned about.
