My contributions

What will I bring to the community?

I have a strong commitment to socially responsible education, knowledge of curriculum across elementary grades, experience with special education, and the ability to work well with a team.

Having had over nine years working in elementary grades, from K-1 through fourth grade, I bring knowledge and experience to the team. I understand horizontal and vertical curriculum articulation across grade levels and teaching strategies to enable all students to succeed.

Additionally, I have experience providing robust differentiation and accommodations for English Language Learners and students with disabilities. I can draw on my experiences as a teacher and graduate studies to establish a classroom founded on UDL and Restorative Justice methodologies.

Don't take my word for it!

I have consistently received positive feedback from supervisors

"Sean also built relationships with families and communicated frequently. Parents again and again talked about what a strong teacher he had been for their child. Another truth is that Sean is a consummate professional. His plans were always on time. His grades and assessment data were too. As a principal, I was completely grateful."

"One of the most notable attributes Mr. Bulger possesses is the ability to reach all children. This doesn’t just mean that they love him (which they do), but that he structures learning and the environment to meet the general needs of the class, but with appropriate adjustments for individuals."

- Bruce Winkelstein, Principal of Brookside School
